Whilst I was visiting my folks in Surrey and Sussex recently I visited a (fairly local) scrapbooking shop Crafts U Love (they do mail order). While I was there I bought a number of items such as new papers, but I also bought some sale paper packs along with my usual replenishment of tape runners and foam pads, etc.
As I was travelling light on my visit I didn’t take any of my usual stash with me and so I decided to get stuck-in to some of the new stuff I had just purchased. I had bought the patterned paper packs (6×6) and an 8×8 cardstock pack, in order to make up a bunch of mini albums to sell at my daughter’s school Christmas Fair, and decided to make some there and then, whilst my daughter and her cousins ran riot around my sister’s house. In the end there was a table full of girlies, three generations - ages 5 to “over 55″ (to be kind to my mum!), all making little albums!

I decided to make a series of short videos (under 4 minutes) to show you each of the three mini albums I made that day, and explain the different ways I have used the materials I had at hand. And… NOTE that all have been made with ONLY patterned paper and a piece of 8×8 cardstock (plus sticky tape of course). Oh apart from this first one, which does have a piece of ribbon, as I happened to purchase it at the shop at the same time!
So here is the first “bracket shaped” mini album video. Links mentioned in the video are below.
