I’ve been blogging about Scrapbooking for 0ver three years… starting on the old blog and this year on this one. In that time I have spent a LOT of time preparing the projects, the photos of the projects, and writing the articles.
I have to say though that this sort of output, including the newsletter and freebies, takes it’s toll.
So without boring you with details, I write this blog post to explain why I feel the need to step back… away from the computer… and take stock. I have lots of articles in the preparation stage, including videos which I have filmed, just not edited yet and I will drip feed these onto this blog, but that probably means only once a week for a while.
I need to get in touch with me again, and actually scrapbook because I want to and not because it’s a technique I have to teach in time for some deadline or other.
I want to Thank all of you who have taken the time to comment on here, I really do appreciate your interaction. And I would like to say to those who stay silent… it would be nice to hear from you, because sometimes think I am doing all this and yet I am actually talking to myself.
I hope you check back again for more scrapbooking articles and layouts, etc if you are new to this blog, and that those of you who have been following me for a while (including my newsletter subscribers) stay with me and allow me time to recoup.
Much Love to all.

Hello Sunday, I am sorry to hear you are going through a difficult time, it is so odd as I just found your site yesterday and added it to my favourites, you obviously do spend a lot of time and energy in your posts/tutorials and take pride in what you do. This is very appreciated, however your well being is a priority and your supporters all realize that. I will keep you in my favourites, if/when you post I will consider it a gift however the greatest gift of all is that you recoup and do what is right for you and your family! Take care…. All the way from Canada, Valerie
Thank you so much for your kind words, Valerie. I am most touched. Welcome to my site, I will continue to post articles here, as I love to share. I just have to learn to maintain the correct balance!

Sorry you are having a rough time at the moment Sunday, I hope your time away from the PC gives you that time to reflect and the ‘me’ time you need.
I for one have found the articles you write very informative, I’m sorry I haven’t left you as many comments as I should have done. I will try to do so, I’m just not very good at voicing myself sometimes …
Best wishes

Hi there,
I just found your blog yesterday. Already you have been an inspiration to me, and I must add that I really love the quality of your blog and your work. You obviously love what you do and have much pride in your presentation.
I never normally comment, (bit of a fly on the wall really), but have been moved to do so, for once.
Keep up the good work, at a more manageable pace. You truly are an inspiration.
Thank You
Lynne
XOXOXO
Thank you so much Lynne for your taking the time to comment and such kind words too, they mean a lot to me. I do take time in the presentation and often take Too much time getting things just right which has probably helped me to burn myself out! I have to find a happy medium… still working on it, but I feel so much better when people such as yourself and others here speak to me so I get a sense that somene is reading.
Thank You

Hello Sunday:o)
I’m glad you’re going back to doing scrapbooking for the fun of it. When I signed on to your newsletter it was because I really appreciated your generousity when it comes to your tutorials and nice newsletters. I was not expecting several mails per week with new material. I’m impressed with all you’ve given us and if you manage to send out something once a week/fortnight/month I will still be impressed and grateful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the new ideas and techniques you’ve taught this novise:o)
Take care, get back into the groove and enjoy your hobby again.
Best wishes

Hi Sunday
Finally I’ve found someone who’s keeping it real.I’m new to scrapbooking and I felt somewhat overwhelmed and frustrated with most scrapbook tutorials because I just can`t afford all these srapbook stuff. So I was put off from scrapbooking. So after watching some of your tutorials I was inspired not to let my love for scrapbooking fade away. So, I Thank You for giving me the courage to carry on scrapbooking. God bless you.
P.S. I just love the sound of your voice
Best wishes
Dalene
Well Thank You Dalene! It actually means a lot to me that my words and pictures can keep people motivated to do what they love. Scrapbooking can indeed be done on a shoestring with some spectacular results! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Sunday,
I just found your site through a friend. I certainly have enjoyed reviewing what you have on your site….but sounds like you certainly need a break. That is what it is all about, you have done the sharing and now step back and enjoy your freedom to do what you have taught so many others…. we have all experienced that burn out. Enjoy yourself, your have certainly earned it!
Thank you for commenting here, I am already feeling better for just posting once or twice a week (including another blog!) Not much done in crafting for myself again, apart from cards, but then I am about to move house (see Announcement dated 10 Dec). But I am grateful that my previous work on here is always available to newcomers like yourself and I will still be adding more!

Howdy Doody from Judy!
I’ve just ran across your site and have looked at a couple of videos, read a few articles and thouroughly enjoyed all! You are very inspiring to me at a time when I’ve needed it. I’ve had ’scrapping block’ for a couple of months and even though I have a room chockful of gadgets and supplies…the groove just wasn’t coming! After seeing your site, it reminded me of the year my husband and I spent living in a flat at The Zetland in Saltburn-On-The-Sea. I enjoyed the English pace of life and found inspiration everywhere! Our train trips, walking around towns, discovering new things are all priceless. Most times I didn’t like to open my mouth to let anyone know that I was from Texas, just wanted to pretend I belonged there. May God bless you on your big tea room endeavor! It looks delicious!! I feel like your real reward will even surprise you! Keep those quiet moments and keep balanced! Luvyabye, Judy
Dear Sunday,
I just found your website early this morning in one of my insomnia episodes! I’ve spent the last 3 hours getting to know you and your site and I am so thrilled. You have inspired me tremendously to get started on a hobby that I’ve wanted to start for years. I have everything you could possibly need to do any paper crafting but lacked the confidence in my abilities to actually get started on any one project other than buying more and more items that I would just have to have to become a success. Thanks to you and your love and dedication to what you do I am ready to BEGIN!!!! Of course, I will first have to get a few hours of sleep!
I hope at this time you are refreshed and doing much better. God BLess you, Sweetie, for sharing your awesome talent to me and the world! I am forever a fan. Much love to you and yours, Teresa
Thank you for saying hello Teresa, and I am so very glad to be of help to your crafting efforts. I meet so many people who have huge untapped ability only because they have no confidence in themselves. The internet is a great place for inspiration and help, but it can so easily paralyse people because they see others’ works of art and then feel inadequate. I urge you and everyone else to just DIVE IN and get started. My first efforts were pretty basic, but we all have to start somewhere and I get such as thrill seeing (or hearing) the delight of people finding that they too are creative, which is why I love teaching beginners so much!
And Yes, I am feeling better, and I have managed my time and effort more efficiently to be able to maintain a balance (most of the time!). Now it’s full steam ahead with the Tearooms
