It’s been an incredible week at the Tearooms here in Mettingham (Suffolk, England)!
After a very, very busy opening weekend (coupled with it being Easter Weekend too) we have been busy ALL week serving lots of lovely customers!
Miles and I are so pleased that those of you who have visited us have been most complimentary about the decor, the food, the service and our Victorian uniforms. Quite a few people have returned once already and some twice!
I would like to post some photographs of the busy Rooms, but I am unsure as to taking photos of people to post in the public domain, ie on here, or the Tearooms website or any other publicity material. Of course I could ask them, but don’t wish to disturb their enjoyment of their visit.
And I haven’t posted any “empty” photos yet, because the Rooms have been busy (and/or I have) since we opened 11 days ago (unofficially opened on Wednesday 31st March!) However, the EDP published a great article for us and here is the link to the article about the Tearooms. I’d like to thank Victoria Nicholls for coming to see us and writing the article and Nick (photographer).
I want to wholeheartedly Thank our fantastic staff - Liz, Angela, Emma, Sam, Ellie and Dominic who have worked very hard, stayed cheerful and worked well together under pressure and have helped Miles and I create the service and relaxed atmosphere for our customers that we were hoping to achieve.
So…
Next Tuesday (13th) is our first Scrapbooking evening at the TeaRooms (with existing members) and I am looking forward to making up a page, as I haven’t made a scrapbook page for far too long! Not to mention writing any articles!

We had a lovely meal and even took some cake home, then I had a great evening scrapping at thetea rooms too. Looking forward to my next visit to this tranquil property.
