Simple, but made much more effective by the layering of a couple of contrasting layers of border-punched patterned papers.

I realise I said I would put these up “tomorrow” and it’s a bit later than that, but se la vie!  I only have so much energy!
So here are the two cards I made using the left overs from the cards in the previous post!

My original idea was to create a load of cards for sale in the Tearooms, and to make a number the same so that I could make cards quicker.  Well it didn’t really work because the papers I had bought only had one page of each design!  Plus I was trying to use up scraps, [...]

This is just a small card - 4×4″, or a little over, I used all three Martha Stewart punches I bought as a set from QVC recently, on this one!
The Belly-band punch in the darker blue, the border punch in the middle at the top and the corner punch.  I particularly like the way you [...]

The image for this card was fairly brown (ie, sepia as opposed to black and white) so I went with the colour theme on the background colour and the embellishments.
Another lesson in layering there… a bit of lace gathered into a flower with a flower on top (white one coloured with an ink pad) and [...]

So this image is the same as the last couple of cards, but I want to show you how the same picture can be used in many different ways, even more so when it is a black and white picture.

Ok, so this is the same image as yesterday’s card, but look at the difference in treatment and colours!  Agais a single piece of patterned paper wrapped around the card front and a little matting and embellishing.

Regular readers will recognise this image as I have used it before.  It IS one of my favourites… such a serene picture and versatile for a lot of occasions.
