Day 8 - Vintage Style Card

Day 8 - I have used the first of a packet of butterflies from…. oh… I’ve thrown the packet away!  I think they are from Papermania!
Stick-on lace trim this time rather than the real thing.  I thought I’d show a nice blue-green card today.

Day 7 - Next Vintage Style Card

Day 7 - A piece of “script” style background paper has been wrapped around the card front and onto the inside cover.  It was then layered with a piece of contrasting (darker) paper which I pinched with the Martha Stewart border punch.   Bit of lace and a flower, which, I have to admit to squashing [...]

Day 6 of a Card a Day for 20 Days

Day 6 and a bit of colour blocking with scraps!  I cut them to fit the card front with a border, matted the picture onto a piece of silver card, adhering with 3D pads and added a bit of lace (before sticking the mounted picture to the card base btw!).

Day 5 - A Not so Vintage Card

Day 5 and a break from Vintage for today’s entry!
I was experimenting with a new circle cutter… from Martha Stewart… yes, yes, yes… I did recently shop at QVC when their TSV (Today’s Special Value) was to do with Crafting (which was the Martha Stewart Punches, one of which has been used on this card). Anyway, I [...]

Day 4 - A Card Variation on a Theme

Day 4 - Same Vintage Photo used as on yesterday’s card… but with a slightly different treatment.
The graphic is matted on silver card (although I notice that it mostly comes up as a dark mat on most, if not all the photos! tut!), but the background is just one piece of paper this time (yesterday [...]

Day 3 - Vintage Card No. 3

So the third card, I thought we’d have a break from pink today!  I have had these papers (6×6″ pad) for a couple of years!  I have occasionally used them, but thought that they could definitely be used up on vintage style cards such as this one.

These sorts of papers do a lot of the [...]

Day 2 - Vintage Card and another Martha Stewart Punch

Ok, day 2 and my second card.  This is also sporting the latest in Martha Stewart Punches.  It is a special one as it is a “belly band” (as they call it) punch rather than a border punch.  Not particularly easy to see on this card, but it will appear again on another card in [...]

20 Cards in 20 Days!

Hello All!
I recently took a well needed break and visited my folks in Surrey last week and whilst my mum made a couple of scrapbook pages I made some vintage style cards which will be for sale in the Gift Shop area in the Tearooms (it appears all my other one’s have sold out!)
So I [...]

Vintage Cards & Chicks!

Hello All!!
I have been recruiting again for the Tearooms, and, as a consequence also having to work in the Rooms themselves along with training, etc… phewee is putting it very politely!!
So, I have been away from the Blogs, etc.
Anyway, I have posted here, some small cards I made recently which are very quick to make and [...]

Tea themed card (BG Nook & Pantry)

Another  “vintagey” (is that a word?) card with a tea theme provided by the teapot and teacup and saucer stamps from the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry Collection.
I actually made it as a mother’s day card… my mum likes the pinks and greens together.

Ironically the lace (which is wrapped all the way round the front cover) [...]
