A couple of weeks before we moved from our old house I decided to create some hand made Thank You cards for our neighbours as they have been good neighbours and Honey, especially, has made lots of friends to play with. Here they are!… Here is just one of them (I made 5 in all). To [...] I just love this image, such a gentle one. Again the paper is K&Co, from the 6×6 pack called “Classic” and the blue bit of matting under the photograph is from the 6×6 “Boxer” collection by Basic Grey. I’ve matted a couple of times using silver card, which actually made the card fairly heavy.. for a [...] The second of the cards I made at my crop last Saturday! I’ve used the same image as I did for a card a little while back which again, is free from Shabby Chic Papirskatter. Here is the first of some Christmas cards I have made this year… more coming up! I tend to be a scrapbooking cardmaker, and therefore keep my cards fairly simple. I have recently “got into” the vintage style! The November 09 Sketch for the Newsletter is a multi-photo Scrapbook page. One large photo and up to 4 smaller photos (and/or blocks of embellishment). As part of my demo at my crop last weekend I wanted to show that you can easily adapt a scrapbok page sketch into a card sketch with only a [...] I made a card and a half at my crop today! I thought I would make some vintage style cards with some pictures I have downloaded from the internet and here is the result of the card I actually finished. This wasn’t because it took me a long time to make, but after the demo [...] Recently I showed you a birthday card on which I had put some “Crumpled flowers”. I made them using the “wet” technique. Here is a closeup of one of the flowers (before I put it on the card). They are great for using on greetings cards and for scrapbooking, because they can actually end up no deeper [...] I made this card this month for a friend. My friend likes Cath Kidston type design and so I used these colours to give the feel of that designers work. It’s the papers from PaperMania Signature series “Blueberry Hill”. I have made a video of how I made the flowers and will upload the tutorial shortly. And I have [...] Yep… it’s my birthday today! I usually keep quiet (as I have gotten older) but I thought… sod it… I’m gonna tell everyone and make some effort. So here’s a picture of the cupcakes I iced at 8.30am this morning! I got a box of chocs from my daughter, who apparently is expecting to SHARE them [...] |
