Tearooms Update - It’s changing

The Tearooms is coming along nicely!  Miles has been “painting for Britain” and as soon as he’d finished the whole of the house, he started on Tearooms and the taking down of walls, half of the old pub bar, ripping up the rotten carpet and demolishing the bonket seating.
Ok, so who knows what “bonket seating” is then?  [...]

Simple Scrapbooking Layout - “Snow Angels” by SundayL

Here is my latest scrapbook page layout.  It’s a 12×12 page and I’ve kept it simple.  That’s my order of the day so that I can get some scrapping done in between researching equipment and furniture for the Tearooms!

The papers are from the “Wisteria Collection” from Basic Grey and I printed the pictures altogether  on [...]

Saying Goodbye to Oscar

Today was a bit of a sad day for me, as I had to bury one of my Koi.  Oscar just didn’t make it through, what with the move from the old house to the holding tank and then into the new pond, coupled with the very cold weather we have just had.
He was about [...]

Tearooms website holding page and new email address

I finally set up the holding page for the new Tearooms website this evening! There’s not much to see at the moment, but if you want to take a look the address is http://TheTallyHoTearooms.co.uk
The graphics will undoubtedly change between now and the opening/launch, but it should give a feel for the period if nothing [...]

Scrapbooking Sketch and Challenge January 2010

A really multi-photo layout sketch this month!  Please excuse the shading… the scanner was having a funny half hour!  This sketch is based on a layout by Rosemary Merry in the December 2009 (and sadly last ever) issue of Scrapbook Inspirations Magazine.

And so to the challenge… Hmmm… let’s try limiting supplies!  As I have moved [...]

Close up pictures of the Fairy Birthday Cake

I’ve had a few requests for more pictures of the cake which I iced for Honey’s 6th Birthday last month (posted at THIS post), so here are some close ups of the cake (below).

I did use some scrapbooking supplies on this project!  The wings are cut from a sheet of acetate and I used Stickles [...]

A Scrapbooking Tearoom? Special Announcement!

Oh yes indeed… I have a Special Announcement to make!
I am moving house on Tuesday!  Twice in fact and yes… just before Christmas!
Twice because we have to stay in a holiday cottage for about a week in order to sort out the new house as it has been empty for a year and things like… [...]

Scrapbook Page Sketch and Challenge December 09

Another multi-photo layout sketch.  This time we have 2 photos, but the emphasis is on the journaling, the story of the page.  And it’s a pretty simple page too.
SKETCH

CHALLENGE
The challenge this month is to make a page where the emphasis is on the journaling and not the photographs.  Maybe you have something to say, but no photos to back [...]

A little bit of Cake Decorating

Oh here’s a real quicky! Just a little picture of Honey yesterday with the “fairy” birthday cake I decorated for her Birthday Party! If I get time I will upload more photos shortly. And I will also explain why there is a lack of time later ! LOL  Oh and my Scrapbooking acrylic sheets and [...]

No it’s not scrapbooking, but IT IS UPLIFTING and I’m all for that!  The music video gives extra weight to the message and I hope you enjoy it… This one will be blasting out in my car that’s for sure.
