I made this card for a 50th birthday… for a woman, just in case you were wondering! If you are already a subscriber to the Newsletter you will notice the paper that I have used…? Yes it’s one of the two freebie downloadable papers which I gave away last month as the June Subscriber Freebie! So this is a Hybrid Card.
Here is a close up of some of the detail. The downloadable paper was printed onto 120gsm paper and I inked the back of the paper where it was showing on the Twirl. The ribbon was threaded through the printed paper and then everything was adhered to the card blank, so as to keep the inside of the card free from mess.
Ironically, the flourish tucked behind the twirl is actually a diecut which I re-coloured blue (from white), but it looks more like a stamped image in these photographs!
I did stamp the “Happy Birthday” (part of the SeeD’s collection).
Here is the little butterfly!! I like to use “danglies” (spelling?) for cards. I came across a packet of little metal hearts with “Made with Love” embossed into both sides, which are very sweet, so I have been making use of those too. Packet of about 80… so have a few to go!!
