My friend Siobhan has a flair for Scrapbooking! So much so, in fact that she is on a design team! I will be sharing her layouts with you from time to time (and I thank Siobhan for allowing me to do so - you can find here blog HERE), as I think they serve as good design inspiration to others. It’s part of my drive to find scrapbook inspiration from across the web to share with you all.
So the first two for today are scrapbook layouts which show the use of a spray (glimmer mist and the like) and this first layout clearly shows the effectiveness of the masking technique. I like this one for its loose, almost impressionist feel.
The scrapbook page below shows the spray again, but this time as a background colour for the layered map and stamps, etc. This page is also a good example of using simplicity as the page is white cardstock with the use of the coloured spray to enhance an area where the Map (or could have been a photo), some layered journaling, a few embellishments and title. A similar page could be achieved without much cost.
I think we could all use a bit more simplicity… I love the multi-layered look, I have made a few layered layouts myself recently, but I will be making simple ones soon too. Back to basics!

Hi Sunday, thanks for the mention
It’s always good to know what other people take away from my layouts. I hope some of your readers will find inspiration!
