I made this card this month for a friend. My friend likes Cath Kidston type design and so I used these colours to give the feel of that designers work. It’s the papers from PaperMania Signature series “Blueberry Hill”.

I have made a video of how I made the flowers and will upload the tutorial shortly.  And I have made scrunched paper flowers before, but I found the technique of adding water (or at least some sort of moisture) to the paper first makes for finer detail in the “petals”.  Of course it makes quite a difference as to the thickness and texture of the paper (or card) you use and onlas yo the end results.

I like this technique as I think the end result looks a little like fabric, especially when you use a thinner paper (the paper use for the flowers in these pictures was 160gsm).

Above is the inside of the card.  I always try to include something inside as it is this which I think adds to the hand-crafted feel of a card.
