Hi there, I thought I would start a series of videos, about “Me and Mine”!
The Series is called “A little bit about SundayL” and is just personal (not too personal you understand!) things about me that are not Scrapbooking, or crafting related. Although I may bore the pants off you with some of my previous crafts, such as encaustic painting!
I think people are more likely to trust someone enough to buy their products if they know a little bit about them. Little snippets about a person don’t have to be compromising, but they are always interesting. I may be searching through others’ videos for scrapbooking stuff, but I often view a video or read something that is a little more personal and may not even mention the craft.
Also, I get the most comments on the scrapbooking pages I create which show heartfelt journaling, why? because I believe people can relate to the sentiment and they feel closer to the writer, enough to leave a comment.
So, anyway, this short video is of my Koi.. enjoy (if you like fish that is lol !)

Thanks for sharing your life with us and for your wonderful scrapbooking information as well. I am making a scrapbook for a Habitat for Humanity home. I’ve taken pictures of the volunteers building the home - thus - you will see them roofing, shingling, framing, etc. I can never find anything of this sort on the net…just to have an idea how to do it. Other people have showed me their pages for their new home but that is not what I am looking for. Do you think you could help me out here as I am not sure what embellishments to put on my pages. Thanks so much!
Hello Phyllis, thanks for saying Hi. Many people get “hung up” with the idea that the embellishments on a page have to be themed. Embellishments are purely to add a little something to compliment the photos, etc. Therefore I suggest that with busy photos (with scenery type shots of people on roofs, frames, etc) you would be best keeping embellishments to a minimum and maybe using page accents, where the items are grouped together in one area. (Border Page Accents). At the end of the day, just a few items, buttons, ribbons, flowers, can be all you need.
If you want to send me a pic or two (don’t have to be full resolution) I can make up a quick page/sketch to give you an idea.
