Another “vintagey” (is that a word?) card with a tea theme provided by the teapot and teacup and saucer stamps from the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry Collection.
I actually made it as a mother’s day card… my mum likes the pinks and greens together.
Ironically the lace (which is wrapped all the way round the front cover) has ended up from whence it came… My mum gave it to me from her stash of old bits and pieces about a year ago.
In the picture below you can see the inside of the card. I always like to place something on the inside of my cards, either a stamped image or, when I can, ribbon or lace wrapped around. It adds that special “extra” touch to the card.

just beautiful Sunday!! I love your style. I’ve had a go at your distressed edges, I need some practice!! I love the effect though.
Hello Lainey, keep practising, cos as soon as you get the knack, you’ll be hooked! When I teach the technique at a workshop, the most common beginner’s mistake is to be too delicate! You have to practise being quite rough at first and then you can master more subtle distressing later.
