Vintage Style Card – Free Images

I made a card and a half at my crop today!  I thought I would make some vintage style cards with some pictures I have downloaded from the internet and here is the result of the card I actually finished.  This wasn’t because it took me a long time to make, but after the demo and then chatting and helping the other members with their projects, I don’t really get much time to start a full scrapbook page.

I have downloaded a lot of images from Heidi who has a website/blog called Shabby Chic Papirskatter.  All the images are free and good quality and it’s well worth a visit.  The picture I used on the card above is only printed on ordinary (but premium quality) paper at normal printer settings (ie not photo quality) and it looks just fine.

You can visit Heidi’s Blog here and download these lovely images for yourself.  THIS is the link to the post with the same image as I have used in the card above.  If you leave a comment on her blog I would be grateful if you mentioned you’ve come from here SundayL

  • Thank you for your sweet comment in my blog, gorgeous card!! Heidi

  • I love this card Sunday!! would love to know how you did those edges, they are fab.

  • I shall make it the subject of a video tutorial for you! Although I will just say that I run my finger nail along the edge, rather than any tool, but as I have been asked a number of times now, it’ easier to show it than explain it.

Thankyou for the newsletter. Somehow I find myself checking my mails more often than usual. Just want to wish you and your family a MERRY MERRY XMAS and everything of the best with the new home.

    Hi Sunday
By chance I came across your site. I am thrilled with it ( should have got out my dressing gown ages ago)
Looking forward to keeping in touch.
Distressing paper was just what I was looking for, very clear instructions. Was about to throw away a nail file (No Nails me)So that will now go in my crafting tools.
Thank you and Best Wishes. from Margaret. Australia

  • Well as a crafter Margaret, you know we throw nothing away! lol

Unfortunately, Heidi’s blog is gone. Very sad. Perhaps, if she has a new name, you could let us know. I would love to have some of her vintage pics.

  • Yes it’s most sad! :-( I will put an update on this post I think.
