Us ladies always struggle to know what to make for the men in our lives (in the way of crafting). There is little in the way of inspiration on the net that is specicifically for men unless it’s sport related, or beer etc. Well in scrapbooking, I always go for the sort of colours that my husband wears if it’s a layout about or even if i make a mini album for him as a gift, as he’s not really into sporty, drink or car related themes and frankly… neither am I!

So this is the wedding anniversary card I made for my husband this year and it is technically a “hybrid” card. The hybrid refers to the fact that the main area (photo, greeting and main blue area and outer line(matting)) has been created in Photoshop Elements and printed out onto photo paper.
I then adhered that onto a card blank and added some ribbon, buttons and eyelets. So the colours have a masculine feel to them, but there is no particular theme going on.
If you don’t have a recent picture of the pair of you together, try just putting you and your partner’s separate pictures onto the card, this will “infer” the pair of you are together… trust me.. it works! Especially on mini albums, such as maze books!
The photo on the card here… my 5 year old daughter took this picture using my camera when we were on holiday in July this year.
